Export my roster completed
Allow me to export my roster (at the very least the students in the roster). This export should include at least the basic student information: full name, email address, and student id.

indicate in assignment blocks that the assignment is done completed
Once a student turns an assignment in (Hand In button) it would be nice if that button disappears,
dims, or something to let the student know they have completed that assignment -

easily show on which page an assessment is published completed
When you create an assessment, you have to “publish” it on a Haiku page. It would be helpful when you view information about the assessment if you could see the page that the assessment is on. Sometimes people either don’t understand or forget where they put it and then they can’t find where the assessment is actually published to.

Let me go straight to my Gradebook (or Dropbox or Inbox) completed
It takes too long to get to my Gradebook. Currently I have to do the following.
1. Click "Assess" (takes me to my Assessments)
2. Click the "Gradebooks" menu.
3. Click the name of my gradebook.
You should change the Assess tab, so that when I click it a menu appears & can go straight to my Gradebook without going through the Assessments area first. The same applies for the tools in the Connect tab. -

Give the average of grades that are posted completed
There should be an average of the grades that your teacher posts on your page so you know how you are doing in the class.

Allow teachers to 'turn off' nicknames completed
It would be great as a teacher to be able to turn off a student's nickname, so they don't appear in the discussions or gradebooks as someone other than themselves. I am concerned for the potential of seeing inappropriate nicknames.

Allow for printing all parent invitations in a class at once completed
I just went to print parent invitations (I don't have emails for all the parents) for our Open House tonight and had to click on each student individually and then go through the print process. Is there a way to add print parent inviations for a class all at once, rather than by individual student. I love that parents can plug in to my class as well, but it was very cumbersome to print out 33 invitations all at once

give students a way to minimize discussion posts completed
In the Discussions, the students have asked if there is a way to minimize a student’s post after it is opened. The page gets very long with all of them open.

Nest Replies Under the Relevant Comment completed
I think it would be great if, in discussion blocks, comments that are replies to a specific post would appear directly beneath the post to which they are replying rather than at the end of the list. It would probably serve to keep the conversations easier to follow. Thanks!

Reusable Assessment Questions completed
After I create a few Exams I will want to re-use some of those questions for final Exams and again next year when I start teaching the class again. It would be great if there was a library of my existing Assessment Questions that I could easily sort through & add to new Assessments.

Import Assessment Questions completed
Some of the text-books I use in class come with sets of test questions online or on a CD. It would be great if I could import these questions into haiku and use them to create haiku Assessments.

send students an email once an assignment has been submitted completed
To confirm that an assignment has been received it would be nice if an email was sent to the student after it has been submitted.

add the ability to print the class roster completed
As a course teacher it would be handy to be able to print out the course roster.

add an External Content Block (e.g. for Del.icio.us) completed
This block could work for other external content as well, but it would be good to have a way to bring in Del.icio.us content easily and display in-line in the site. This will help keep students focused as they browse lists of links on Del.icio.us.

add a block description field that grows for long entries completed
Modify the description field for file, link, audio,and video blocks that auto expands if your entry is longer than two lines.
we added this feature to several dialogs. Let us know if we missed any.

Print Calendars completed
Provide an easy way to print one or more months of my class calendar. Currently, if there are many items on each day, only the first 4 or 5 are displayed when I print the calendar.

add a way to place larger images in a content block completed
This would include the ability to make images larger & also include banner images, & placement of images within a column.
The good news is that some of this is already in the works.
This is slated to be worked on very soon (version 2.6 in April 2008) and will include a way to add larger images to a page as well as providing a downloadable version if desired.
The ability to add banner images is a separate issue, and I will create a specific entry for the suggestion.
